About the Opportunity

Gap Wireless currently has an exciting opportunity for a Bilingual Senior Account Manager (English & French) to join our team on a full-time basis based anywhere in Montreal, Quebec, Gatineau, Ottawa, or Toronto (GTA). Travel within Canada may be required on occasion.

The successful candidate will be reporting to the Director of Sales and will be a primary driver of new business in our served markets, namely PCS/Cellular Wireless Carriers, Independent Telephone Companies, Healthcare, ISPs, WISPs, Education, Community Networks, and Enterprise. You will assume responsibility for multiple sales accounts and perform duties such as managing campaigns, training members of the account team, identifying business opportunities, achieving sales targets, taking part in client meetings, and supporting other related activities.

While no two days will ever be the same in this pivotal role, your more typical responsibilities will include: 

  • Achieving and exceeding established monthly sales and call quotas
  • Following up on leads, opening new accounts, and maintaining a proper product portfolio while promoting new products
  • Conducting various prospecting activities, including telemarketing, cold calling, lead referrals, etc. to ensure that sales targets are met
  • Updating and maintaining accurate records in company CRM, providing forecasts and activity reports
  • Developing an understanding of the customer’s business needs and future requirements
  • Preparing professional written and/or verbal proposals targeted to the Key Decision-Makers in the customer's terminology, that clearly communicates our solution and value proposition to their business problem
  • Prospecting and conducting face-to-face sales calls with business executives and directors 
  • Negotiating contracts, initiating orders, and pursuing everything with energy and drive
  • Initiating post-sales activities, to ensure services sold are meeting ongoing customer needs, providing additional training to new customers
  • Assisting management & marketing team and providing feedback on marketing materials and products/services
  • Providing technical guidance in support of the sales division
  • Supporting with training needs for new employees in operations, procedures, and sales techniques 

More About You

In order to qualify for this role, you will need to be fluent in French and English, with experience in a sales role within the IT or communicators sector, preferably servicing PCS/cellular carriers. Familiarity with selling products or services with a sales cycle of 3-6 months, experience building an extensive client network and a university/college degree/diploma in Engineering, IT, Data Networking, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field are strong assets. Candidates will need solid sales skills and an understanding of how to manage a sales funnel, with a track record of success in prospecting and cold-calling.
