About the Opportunity

Gap Wireless currently has an exciting opportunity for a Bilingual Warehouse Supervisor (English & French) to join our team on a full-time basis in Montreal (Blainville), Quebec.

The successful candidate will report to the Director of Administrative Operations, while working closely with the Warehousing, Production, and Procurement Departments and coordinating the products, services, and supplies that the company needs to run its operations. The Warehouse Manager will be supporting recruiting and training staff, analyzing the company's supply needs, and scheduling purchases for the Quebec division.

While no two days will ever be the same in this pivotal role, your more typical responsibilities will include:

  • Contributing to the development of the newly adopted SAP B1 rollout initiative 
  • Monitoring and reconciling inventory accuracy through a robust Cycle Count Program 
  • Functioning as a company liaison with customers, suppliers, and carriers to maintain a smooth flow of incoming and outgoing traffic 
  • Initiating, coordinating and enforcing optimal operational policies and procedures 
  • Negotiating the most competitive and current rates with transport companies for incoming and outgoing freight
  • Maintaining inventory accuracy and integrity for all product lines and implementing strategies to improve operational efficiency
  • Managing intercompany transfers between warehouses and supporting 3PL vendor relationships
  • Developing and implementing key metrics such as Inventory Turnover, Cost of Carrying, Average Days to Sell Inventory (DIO), Gross Margin Return on Investment (GMROI), Item Fill Rate, Average Inventory Level, and Inventory Accuracy
  • Supporting the cycle counts of product inventories on a regular basis and reviewing daily cycle count variance reports
  • Develop loss mitigation processes and protocols
  • Filing claims when defective products are discovered 
  • Developing and maintaining SOPs for training other employees in asset inventory management 
  • Maintaining Health & Safety within the warehouse and personnel
  • Hiring, training, or coaching warehouse associates, and conducting performance evaluations that are timely and constructive 
  • Overseeing the daily workflow and schedules of the warehouse 
  • Handling discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy 

More About You

In order to qualify for this role, you will need to be fluent in French and English, with 3+ years of experience as a supervisor, manager, or similar relevant position preferred. A degree in supply chain, logistics, procurement, or inventory management is preferred, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software required.
